Preview: McIntosh Demons vs. Bryant Hurricanes
The McIntosh Demons will play host again and welcome the Bryant Hurricanes, where tip off is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Last Friday, McIntosh was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 60-56 to Jackson.
Meanwhile, Bryant's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their tenth straight loss. They suffered a tough 77-57 loss at the hands of Vigor. While losing is never fun, Bryant can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 372nd, while Vigor is ranked 67th).
McIntosh's defeat ended an 11-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 10-2. As for Bryant, they bumped their record down to 1-11 with that defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.
McIntosh suffered a grim 62-38 defeat to Bryant when the teams last played back in December of 2022. Can McIntosh avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
