Basketball Recap: Annandale Takes a Loss

Annandale was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They received a blow as they fell 69-52 to the Edison Eagles. While losing is never fun, the Atoms can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 273rd, while the Eagles are ranked 77th).

Annandale's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Edison, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-4.

Annandale won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Overbrook at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Annandale is facing Overbrook at the right time seeing as Overbrook is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Edison, they and Gar-Field will face off at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played.
