Basketball Recap: Richford Takes Down Ranked Winooski

On Thursday, Richford faced Winooski in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Richford Falcons came out on top in a nail-biter against the Winooski Spartans, sneaking past 55-53. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 44-39 back in January.

The win made it two in a row for Richford and bumps their season record up to 14-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.0 points over those games. As for Winooski, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-6.

Richford will have a chance to go back-to-back against Winooski: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
