Soccer Recap: Sylvan Hills Takes a Loss

Sylvan Hills lost against Greenbrier back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Bears took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers. While losing is never fun, Sylvan Hills can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas soccer rankings (they are ranked 53rd, while Greenbrier are ranked fifth).

Sylvan Hills has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-8-3 record this season. As for Greenbrier, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 14-1-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Sylvan Hills is set to take on their familiar foe Maumelle at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Greenbrier will face off against rival Vilonia at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
