The Scurry-Rosser Wildcats will take on the Leonard Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Leonard took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Scurry-Rosser, who comes in off a win.
Scurry-Rosser is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing Blooming Grove: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Wildcats blew the Lions out of the water with a 45-7 final score. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Lions recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Eli Hutchins had a dynamite game, throwing for 165 yards and four TDs while completing 90.9% of his passes. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in passer rating (169.5).
Scurry-Rosser didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Blooming Grove to a completion percentage of just 43.5%. That dominant aerial defense primarily came from five players: Logan Mullins, McCrae Manos, Corbin Hoard, Jevin Thompson, and Chandler Bridges, who each logged one passes deflected. Scurry-Rosser wasn't nearly as limited: they posted one of 81.2%.
Scurry-Rosser didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Case Kilgore and Bridges. Mullins was another major factor on D, picking up a sack, making 17 total tackles (2.0 for loss), and defending one pass.
Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Leonard's offense. They took a blow against Gunter on Thursday, falling 44-0. Leonard hasn't had much luck with Gunter recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.
Leonard suffered their first home loss, dropping their record down to 6-4. As for Scurry-Rosser, their record is now 4-6.
Scurry-Rosser skirted past Leonard 26-24 when the teams last played back in November of 2024. Will the Wildcats repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
