Softball Recap: Simi Valley Has No Trouble Against Dos Pueblos

After only two runs in their last contest, Simi Valley made sure to put some runs up on the board against Dos Pueblos on Tuesday. The Simi Valley Pioneers put the hurt on the Dos Pueblos Chargers with a sharp 14-3 victory. This was payback for the Pioneers, who suffered a 2-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Francesca Hall spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on nine hits and racked up seven Ks. Those seven strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.

At the plate, Allison Hinds was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March of 2024. Bella Voorhees also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Simi Valley was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Dos Pueblos only posted a batting average of .310.

Simi Valley's record now sits at 3-1. As for Dos Pueblos, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Simi Valley wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, an 8-6 win against Newbury Park on the 27th. As for Dos Pueblos, they have also already played their next game, a 4-3 loss against Clovis on the 1st.
