Basketball Game Preview: St. Anthony Village Huskies vs. Robbinsdale Cooper Hawks

The St. Anthony Village Huskies will head out on the road to square off against the Robbinsdale Cooper Hawks at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Robbinsdale Cooper took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on St. Anthony Village, who comes in off a win.

Last Tuesday, St. Anthony Village earned a 71-58 win over Minneapolis Southwest. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Huskies.

Meanwhile, Robbinsdale Cooper was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 57-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of Academy of Holy Angels. While losing is never fun, the Hawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 278th, while the Stars are ranked 42nd).

St. Anthony Village has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.1 points per game. As for Robbinsdale Cooper, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-11.

St. Anthony Village beat Robbinsdale Cooper 68-60 when the teams last played back in February of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for St. Anthony Village since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
