Volleyball Game Preview: Le Lycee Lions vs. Oakwood Owls

Le Lycee is 0-4 against Oakwood since March of 2023 but things could change on Wednesday. The Lions will host the Owls at 5:30 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Le Lycee took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They blew past AGBU 3-0. The Lions haven't had any issues with the Titans recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Le Lycee was especially dominant in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-11, 25-18.

Meanwhile, Oakwood can bid farewell to their six-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Yeshiva University of Los Angeles (YULA) as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The Owls not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 11th.

Oakwood not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Yeshiva University of Los Angeles (YULA) between 17 and 19 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-19, 25-17.

Le Lycee's win bumped their record up to 11-14. As for Oakwood, their victory bumped their record up to 6-8.

Le Lycee couldn't quite get it done against Oakwood in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 as they fell 3-1. Can the Lions avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
