Baseball Recap: Kennett Gets the Win

Kennett's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They came out on top against the East Vikings by a score of 9-5. For the Blue Demons, this counts as revenge for the 10-3 win the Vikings walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

Tyler Homick was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He pitched four innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off five hits. Homick was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI and one double.

In other pitching news, Christian Scheibe looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up a single earned run in six consecutive appearances.

Homick wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Max Pitts, who went 1-for-4 with three RBI and one double. Those three RBI gave Pitts a new career-high. Cole Pacinelli was another, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Kennett's record is now 4-7-1. As for East, they moved to 5-5 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Coincidentally, Kennett and East will both be playing Downingtown East the next time they take the field. The Blue Demons will host the Cougars at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Vikings will head out to face them at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
