The third road match was the charm for Providence Academy, as they earned their first away victory of the season. They were the clear victors by a 48-27 margin over the West Greene Buffaloes on Friday.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Providence Academy's defense and their four sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Gabe Pennington and Ford Bowman, who racked up all four sacks between them. Bowman also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with 20.

The win got Providence Academy back to even at 2-2. As for West Greene, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.

Providence Academy will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Middle Tennessee Christian at 7:30 p.m. on the 26th. This will be Providence Academy's first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for West Greene, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 41-15 defeat against Eagleton College & Career Academy on the 19th.
