Baseball Game Preview: North Fort Myers Red Knights vs. Charlotte Fightin' Tarpons

For the second straight game, North Fort Myers will face off against Charlotte. The Red Knights will take on the Fightin' Tarpons at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. North Fort Myers is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.2 runs per game this season.

North Fort Myers heads in on the heels of a playoff game on Thursday. They fell 5-2 to Charlotte.

For Charlotte's part, the team relied heavily on Dylan Klossner, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI Klossner has posted since back in March.

Charlotte has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-10 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for North Fort Myers, their loss dropped their record down to 16-11.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Saturday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. North Fort Myers has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.3 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Charlotte struggles in that department as they've been averaging 6.9 strikeouts.
