Baseball Recap: Ganesha's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to 19

It's playoff time, and Ganesha had no trouble coming through when it counted. They put the hurt on the South Spartans with a sharp 11-1 win on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Giants, who have now won 14 contests by eight runs or more so far this season.

Jacob Delgado looked comfortable as he pitched 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Isiaiah Ibarra, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Christian Eaton, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base.

The victory was the 19th in a row for Ganesha, bringing their record up to 22-3. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.9 runs over those games. As for South, their loss dropped their record down to 18-14.

As of now, neither Ganesha nor the Spartans have any future games scheduled.
