Baseball Recap: Firestone Comes Up Short

Firestone lost against McKinley back in May of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Falcons fell 7-4 to the Bulldogs. The Falcons just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row.

Skyler Nespo made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double. Another player making a difference was Nate Plas, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run.

Firestone's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for McKinley, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season.

Firestone will take on Washington at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Falcons surely won't give up without a fight. As for McKinley, they will face off against New Philadelphia at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
