Ferndale is a perfect 5-0 against Mount Vernon since March of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Golden Eagles will look to defend their home field against the Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. Mount Vernon took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Ferndale, who comes in off a win.

Last Friday, Ferndale blew past Marysville Getchell, posting a 41-14 win. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Golden Eagles' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Washington football rankings (they are ranked 39th, while Marysville Getchell are ranked 170th).

Mount Vernon had taken Burlington-Edison down for three straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Friday. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 17-14. The loss put an end to the Bulldogs' undefeated start to the season.

Ferndale will have to contain Diego Salaz as he made an impact in Mount Vernon's last game. He rushed for 179 yards and two touchdowns.

Having lost for the first time this season, Mount Vernon fell to 2-1. As for Ferndale, they now also have a winning record of 2-1.

Ferndale beat Mount Vernon 28-21 in their previous meeting back in September of 2024. Will the Golden Eagles repeat their success, or do the Bulldogs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
