Baseball Recap: Hill-Mccloy Comes Up Short at Home Against Chesaning

Hill-McCloy unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They lost 14-0 to the Chesaning Indians on Wednesday. The Rams were not able to make up for their loss to the Indians from their previous meeting back in April of 2019.

Hill-McCloy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Connor Gross, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Chesaning's win was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hill-McCloy will welcome New Lothrop at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Chesaning, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Corunna at 4:00 p.m.
