Basketball Recap: Regents Comes Up Short

Regents was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 55-51 heartbreaker at the hands of the Brighter Horizons Academy Stars.

Regents' defeat dropped their record down to 9-13. As for Brighter Horizons Academy, their victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 7-10.

Regents will challenge Bishop Dunne at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Bishop Dunne's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five games. As for Brighter Horizons Academy, they will take on Hyde Park at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Hyde Park's favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while Brighter Horizons Academy has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
