The Southwestern Rebels will head out on the road to take on the Clarksville Generals at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Southwestern is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.9 runs per game this season.

Southwestern fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Jac-Cen-Del on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 4-3. The Rebels' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Southwestern's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 7-1 and their overall record down to 10-6. As for Clarksville, their loss dropped their record down to 2-13.

Clarksville's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Southwestern has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .432. It's a different story for Clarksville, though, as they've only averaged .365. Will they be able to contain Southwestern's hitters?

Southwestern took their victory against Clarksville in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 10-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rebels since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
