Baseball Game Preview: Paraclete Spirits vs. Littlerock Lobos

The Paraclete Spirits will challenge the Littlerock Lobos at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Paraclete will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

Paraclete is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Adelanto 20-4 on Saturday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Spirits considering their one-run performance the contest before.

Mason Jacobo looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Paraclete is 4-2 when he allows at most one earned run, but 9-11 otherwise.

At the plate, Armando Saucedo was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. Paraclete is undefeated when Saucedo posts two or more runs, but 9-13 otherwise. Antonio Longobardi was another key player, going 3-for-5 with three runs, three doubles, and two RBI.

Paraclete always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .562. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Meanwhile, Littlerock unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Friday. They came up short against Quartz Hill, falling 7-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Lobos have suffered since February 27th.

Paraclete's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-13. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.5 runs over those games. As for Littlerock, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-8.
