Soccer Game Preview: Bethel-Tate vs. New Richmond

The Bethel-Tate Tigers are taking a road trip to square off against the New Richmond Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.

Bethel-Tate had to skate by with only a one-goal margin when they last took the pitch, which might have inspired the three-goal drubbing they dealt Fairfield on Friday. The Tigers put the hurt on the Lions with a sharp 4-1 victory. Considering Bethel-Tate have won six contests by more than two goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

They hit Fairfield with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Lacey Swaynie, Alysa Carnahan, Mackenzie Riddle, and Raegin Jasontek.

Meanwhile, New Richmond kept a clean sheet against Norwood on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 5-0 margin over the Indians. The win continues a trend for New Richmond in their matchups with Norwood: they've now won eight in a row.

Bethel-Tate's victory bumped their record up to 12-4. As for New Richmond, their win bumped their record up to 4-9-3.

Bethel-Tate skirted past New Richmond 1-0 in their previous meeting back in September of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
