Baseball Recap: Dumont Huskies vs. Teaneck Highwaymen
Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Dumont). They walked away with an 11-8 win over the Teaneck Highwaymen on Friday. That's more bragging rights for the Huskies, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
Alex Martin made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Martin was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
In other batting news, Jarrett Carramusa and Nathanael Vasquez did most of the damage at the plate: Carramusa scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances, while Vasquez scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Nate Acevedo, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.
