Volleyball Recap: Cocoa Beach Takes a Loss

Cocoa Beach was the 3-2 winner over Rockledge when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Minutemen took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Raiders on Monday. The Minutemen have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Cocoa Beach was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Rockledge work for it, especially in the fourth set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 22-25, 25-16, 28-26.

Kate Monseliu paced Cocoa Beach's offense, picking up 13 kills. Monseliu got some help from Tayber Diffenthal and her 15 assists. Diffenthal was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Cocoa Beach's loss dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Rockledge, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-7.

Cocoa Beach didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Palm Bay on the 23rd. As for Rockledge, they have also already played their next game, a 3-1 defeat against West Shore on the 23rd.
