West Middlesex is a perfect 5-0 against Rocky Grove since May of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Big Reds will face off against the Orioles at 4:00 p.m. West Middlesex is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.7 runs per game this season.

Wilmington hit West Middlesex with a five-run fifth inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Big Reds came up short against the Greyhounds, falling 9-3. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since May 14, 2023, but that streak is no more.

Lila Kimmel made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and two runs. Another player making a difference was Julia Thornton, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Rocky Grove, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. Everything went their way against Lakeview on Thursday as they made off with a 7-1 victory. The Orioles haven't had any issues with the Sailors recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Rocky Grove's victory bumped their record up to 6-8. As for West Middlesex, their loss dropped their record down to 6-9.

West Middlesex was able to grind out a solid win over Rocky Grove in their previous meeting back in May of 2018, winning 6-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Big Reds since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
