Volleyball Recap: Mattie Queen's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Forestview over South Point + How To Watch

Forestview lost against South Point back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Jaguars lost 3-0 to the Red Raiders.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-20, 25-14.

Forestview's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mattie Queen, who had ten digs and two assists.

South Point's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kerry Gozur led the charge by getting nine digs and three aces. Gozur is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Forestview's loss dropped their record down to 5-12. As for South Point, their record now sits at 16-10.

Looking ahead, Forestview will venture away from home to square off against North Gaston at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Jaguars are facing the Wildcats at the right time seeing as the Wildcats are stuck on a five-game losing streak. South Point does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
