Basketball Recap: New Covenant Christian Victorious

If West Shore Christian Academy wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played New Covenant Christian, they should've done a better job of containing Lincoln Hess. It was close, but the New Covenant Christian Flames ultimately received the gift of a 49-46 victory from a begrudging Flames squad thanks in part to Hess, who posted 19 points along with eight boards and five assists. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points.

Talan VanderPloog was another key player, putting up ten points. He has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last six times he's played.

New Covenant Christian now has a winning record of 4-3. As for West Shore Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 2-1.

New Covenant Christian and Harrisburg Christian will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. New Covenant Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.6 points per game this season. As for West Shore Christian Academy, they will head out to square off against Mount Calvary Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
