Football Game Preview: Ponderosa Bruins vs. Inderkum Tigers + How To Watch

The Ponderosa Bruins are taking a road trip to challenge the Inderkum Tigers at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Ponderosa took a 21-point loss the last time they faced off against Vista del Lago, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Bruins won a game that couldn't have been any closer, slipping by the Eagles 35-34.

Ponderosa got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Zealand Jenks out in front who picked up 93 receiving yards and one score, and also punched in one touchdown on the ground. That's the most receiving yards Jenks has posted since back in August. Another passer making a difference was Colton Ridgley, who threw for 225 yards and a pair of TDs.

Ponderosa didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Vista del Lago to a completion percentage of just 46.2%. That dominant aerial defense primarily came from seven players: Jenks, Marshall Alvernaz, Andrew Jones, Brendan Ferrie, Chase Laczny, Noah Rodriguez-Bragg, and Mason Schade, who each logged one passes deflected. Ponderosa hasn't an opponent to post a completion percentage of 0.36 or higher in three consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, Inderkum waltzed into their matchup on Friday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They had just enough and edged out the Raiders 20-17. The 20-point effort marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

The critical scores for Inderkum came from Asaiah Gibbons, Jordan Cole, and Jacob Stoll.

Ponderosa's record is now 6-3. As for Inderkum, their record now sits at 8-1.

Ponderosa took a serious blow against Inderkum in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, falling 50-0. Thankfully for the Bruins, Ricky Cole (who rushed for 111 yards and a pair of scores on only nine carries, and also threw for 162 yards and two touchdowns) won't be suiting up this time.
