Soccer Game Preview: Cimarron-Memorial vs. Shadow Ridge

The Cimarron-Memorial Spartans will face off against the Shadow Ridge Mustangs at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Cimarron-Memorial will roll into the match after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any goals two weeks ago, then bounced right back against Cheyenne last Wednesday. The Spartans came out on top against the Desert Shields by a score of 4-2. Cimarron-Memorial haven't had any issues with Cheyenne recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Christopher Linares and Julian Ayala-Garcia scored all four of Cimarron-Memorial's goals, bringing their combined season tally to six goals.

Meanwhile, Shadow Ridge hadn't done well against Green Valley recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Mustangs won by a goal and slipped past the Gators 2-1. The score was all tied up 1-1 at the break, but Shadow Ridge were the better team in the second half.

Cimarron-Memorial's victory bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Shadow Ridge, they now have a winning record of 3-2-2.
