Blanchester has gone 8-1 against Georgetown recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Wildcats will host the G-Men at 4:30 p.m. Blanchester's pitching crew has only allowed 2.7 runs per game this season, so Georgetown's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
It was a proper cat-fight when Blanchester took on Bethel-Tate on Wednesday. The Wildcats walked away with a 6-1 win over the Tigers. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Sammy Roush made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run over seven innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Blanchester is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 1-2 otherwise. Roush was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.
In other batting news, Dane Skates was excellent, going 1-for-2 with three stolen bases and one run. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Cooper Reynolds was another key player, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Georgetown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost an 8-6 heartbreaker at the hands of Felicity-Franklin.
Like Blanchester, Georgetown also got a great game from a two-way player: Bradley Ison. He struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up three earned (and four unearned) runs off four hits. Ison was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Jordan Preston was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-5 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Those RBI marked the first that he has brought in this season.
Blanchester's win was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-2. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.9 runs on average over those games. As for Georgetown, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.
Everything went Blanchester's way against Georgetown when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Blanchester made off with a 25-0 win. Will the Wildcats repeat their success, or do the G-Men have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
