Softball Recap: Shiprock Comes Up Short

Shiprock managed to slip by Bloomfield the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Chieftains came up short against the Bobcats on Thursday, falling 12-0. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Chieftains were not able to get on the board.

Shiprock's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Bloomfield, their win ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 5-12.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Shiprock is set to challenge their familiar foe Gallup at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Bloomfield will take on rival Miyamura at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
