Soccer Recap: Monticello Takes a Loss + How To Watch

After flying high against Argenta-Oreana on Saturday, Monticello came back down to earth. The Sages lost 5-1 to the Pleasant Plains Cardinals on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Pleasant Plains this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-0 on October 2nd.

Monticello has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 13 of their last 17 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-17-1 record this season. As for Pleasant Plains, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-10.

Monticello does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Pleasant Plains, they wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next contest, a 3-2 defeat against Athens/Greenview/Illini Central on the 25th.
