Baseball Recap: Muhlenberg Muhls vs. Mechanicsburg Wildcats
Muhlenberg and Mechanicsburg squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Muhlenberg had to settle for second. They took a 9-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mechanicsburg Wildcats. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Muhlenberg of the 4-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2015.
Cameron Burr made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. Shane Rosenberry was another key contributor, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.
Muhlenberg's defeat dropped their record down to 14-8. As for Mechanicsburg, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 18-3-1.
As of now, neither Muhlenberg nor Mechanicsburg have any future games scheduled.
