Baseball Game Preview: Centennial Knights vs. Cambridge Bears

For the second straight game, Centennial will face off against Cambridge. The Knights will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bears at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Centennial is coming into the contest on a six-game losing streak.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Centennial's offense. They came up short against Cambridge on Thursday, falling 10-0.

Centennial got a good showing from Brad Foust, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Foust has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in 13 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Centennial saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alex Chen, who went 1-for-2 with one double. Brenden Vo also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

The win made it two in a row for Cambridge and bumps their season record up to 16-12-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games. As for Centennial, their loss dropped their record down to 6-23.
