Soccer Game Preview: Midland Legacy vs. San Angelo Central

Midland Legacy is 2-7 against San Angelo Central since March of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Midland Legacy Rebels will face off against the San Angelo Central Bobcats at 7:30 p.m. Midland Legacy's last three games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Midland Legacy is likely headed into the match with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Odessa on Friday. Midland Legacy fell just short of Odessa by a score of 1-0.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when San Angelo Central faced off against Frenship on Monday. San Angelo Central took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Frenship. While losing is never fun, the Bobcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 242nd, while the Tigers are ranked 23rd).

San Angelo Central has also been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season. Midland Legacy now has a losing record of 6-7.

Midland Legacy was able to grind out a solid win over San Angelo Central in their previous matchup on February 4th, winning 2-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Midland Legacy since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
