Basketball Recap: Poplar Bluff Takes a Loss

Poplar Bluff came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They were outmatched by the Jackson Fighting Indians and fell 75-13. The Mules haven't had much luck with the Fighting Indians recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Poplar Bluff's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Jackson, the victory (which was their 18th in a row dating back to last season) raised their record to 3-0.

Looking ahead, Poplar Bluff will square off against Bloomfield at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Jackson, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 66-29 win against Kennett on the 5th.
