Baseball Recap: Brunswick School Triumphs

While Brunswick School's win against Greens Farms Academy wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Bruins narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Dragons 6-4. The Bruins haven't had any issues with the Dragons recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Brunswick School got a great performance from Teddy Bancroft as he struck out nine batters over six innings while giving up three earned runs off five hits. Those nine strikeouts gave Bancroft a new career-high.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Maximus Gabelli, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season. Another player making a difference was Giancarlo Cuesta, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Brunswick School now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Greens Farms Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-8.

Brunswick School will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Dragons: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday.
