Aliquippa is 7-2 against Ellwood City since January of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Aliquippa Quips will head out on the road to square off against the Ellwood City Wolverine at 7:30 p.m.

Aliquippa is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Cathedral Prep just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 54-46 to the Ramblers. The game marked the Quips' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, Ellwood City earned a 57-45 win over Beaver Falls on Friday.

Ellwood City's win came from a few key players Aliquippa will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Aaron Lake, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 15 boards. Lake is crushing it when it comes to rebounds: he's pulled down at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Kaleb Servick, who posted 13 points in addition to five assists and three steals.

Ellwood City's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-5. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.3 points per game. As for Aliquippa, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-2.

Aliquippa lost to Ellwood City on the road by a decisive 66-49 margin when the teams last played back in December of 2021. Thankfully for Aliquippa, Stephen Antuono (who had 31 points) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
