Baseball Recap: North Branch Comes Up Short

North Branch was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Denfeld Hunters. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Vikings of the 9-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Bo Pederson made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases and one run. Clayton Nephew was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.

North Branch's loss dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Denfeld, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-9.

North Branch didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 10-0 defeat against Monticello on the 21st. As for Denfeld, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-2 win against Cloquet on the 21st.
