Basketball Recap: Waterford Takes a Loss

Waterford lost against Southern back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Waterford Wildcats fell 44-34 to the Southern Tornadoes.

Waterford's loss dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Southern, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 14-3.

Waterford will host Federal Hocking at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Waterford is facing Federal Hocking at the right time seeing as Federal Hocking is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Southern, they will venture away from home to square off against Belpre at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Belpre is on a three-game streak of home wins, Southern a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
