On Saturday Warsaw's undefeated season almost came to an end. They never let the Mt. Vernon Mountaineers get on the board and left with a 2-0 victory. The two-run effort marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Warsaw pushed their record up to 7-0 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. The team's perfect season has a lot to do with their hitting performance: the team's won by an average of 8.4 runs thus far. As for Mt. Vernon, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-4.

Looking ahead, Warsaw will face off against Lakeland at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Mt. Vernon, they will challenge Pierce City at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Mountaineers are facing the Eagles at the right time seeing as the Eagles are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
