Preview: North Vikings vs. Firestone Falcons
After seven games on the road, North is heading back home. They will take on the Firestone Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. North comes into the matchup on a six-game losing streak.
Last Friday, it was a hard-fought game, but North had to settle for a 20-14 loss against Ellet.
Despite the defeat, North got a solid performance out of Marvin Causey jr, who rushed for 70 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries, and also picked up 88 receiving yards and a touchdown. Causey jr's longest reception was for an incredible 77 yards.
Meanwhile, Saturday was a slow day for Firestone's offense, as the team failed to make it on the board. They fell 14-0 to East. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Firestone in their matchups with East: they've now lost seven in a row.
North's defeat was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 1-6. Firestone has also traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches.
Things could have been worse for North, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 28-0 loss to Firestone in their previous matchup last October. Will North have more luck at home instead of on the road? Watch the matchup or check back on CBS Sports to find out.
