Sacred Heart and Mt. Vernon-Enola are an even 3-3 against one another since April of 2017, but likely not for long. The Rebels will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Warhawks at 4:00 p.m. Mt. Vernon-Enola took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Sacred Heart, who comes in off a win.

Sacred Heart was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Guy-Perkins on Tuesday. The Rebels put the hurt on the Thunderbirds with a sharp 13-3 victory. The result was nothing new for the Rebels, who have now won seven games by six runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Mt. Vernon-Enola's offense. They lost 7-0 to Quitman on Tuesday. The Warhawks have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Sacred Heart is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Mt. Vernon-Enola, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-11.

Sacred Heart took their victory against Mt. Vernon-Enola in their previous meeting back in April of 2019 by a conclusive 14-4 score. Will the Rebels repeat their success, or do the Warhawks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
