Baseball Recap: Atlantic Christian's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Doane Academy, Atlantic Christian was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They came out on top against George School by a score of 10-6. Considering Atlantic Christian's hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Seth Phillips was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing four bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Those four stolen bases gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Costello, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Atlantic Christian was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .458. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

With the win, Atlantic Christian broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Atlantic Christian will venture away from home to take on Wildwood Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for George School, they will take on Abington Friends at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
