Baseball Recap: Bluffton Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Bluffton can now relate to. They fell 10-6 to the Hartsville Red Foxes on Thursday. The Bobcats haven't had much luck with the Red Foxes recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Nate Ulmer was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs. He has become a key player for Bluffton: the team is 4-1 when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 9-13 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Ryan Goll, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run.

Bluffton now has a losing record of 13-14. As for Hartsville, their win bumped their record up to 20-5.

As of now, neither Bluffton nor the Red Foxes have any future games scheduled.
