Softball Recap: Ottawa-Glandorf Titans vs. Leipsic Vikings
Ottawa-Glandorf was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 12-11 heartbreaker at the hands of the Leipsic Vikings. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-2 on April 1st.
Libbie Niese made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That triple was her first of the season. Haley Meyer was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one triple.
Ottawa-Glandorf's loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Leipsic, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-8.
Looking ahead, Ottawa-Glandorf will host Kalida at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Titans are facing the Wildcats at the right time seeing as the Wildcats are stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Leipsic, they will venture away from home to square off against Patrick Henry at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
