Softball Recap: Ramona Convent Sets Scoring Season-High Against Serra

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Ramona Convent). Everything went their way against the Serra Cavaliers on Tuesday as the Ramona Convent Tigers made off with a 33-4 win. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Chloe Gonzalez was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three stolen bases, and five RBI. Aiden Velazquez was another key player, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI.

Ramona Convent always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .907. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The win made it two in a row for Ramona Convent and bumps their season record up to 8-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 22.5 runs over those games. As for Serra, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Coming up, Ramona Convent will take on St. Monica at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. St. Monica knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past five matchups -- so hopefully Ramona Convent likes a good challenge. As for Serra, they will host Mary Star of the Sea at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Serra is facing Mary Star of the Sea at the right time seeing as Mary Star of the Sea is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
