Softball Recap: Morgan Huskies vs. Hale Ray Noises

Morgan lost against Hale Ray back in May of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Morgan Huskies lost 26-5 to the Hale Ray Noises.

Gigi Santos made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 1-for-2.

On Hale Ray's side, Lily Jahne made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). Jahne has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts every time she's pitched this season. Jahne was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles.

In other batting news, Maggie Janecek was a standout: she got on base in all six of her plate appearances with three runs, four RBI, and a stolen base. Another player making a difference was Julia Campbell, who scored five runs while getting on base in all six of her plate appearances.
