Peyton has gone a perfect 10-0 against Simla recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Panthers will host the Cubs at 10:00 a.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Last Thursday, Peyton got the win against Byers by a conclusive 15-7. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Zayden Ebbert made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over five innings while giving up three earned (and four unearned) runs off six hits. Ebbert was also stellar in the batter's box, going 4-for-5 with six RBI, three runs, and one double. Those six RBI gave him a new career-high.
In other pitching news, Bryce Compton looked comfortable as he scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3.
Back at the plate, Noah Martin was incredible, scoring three runs while going 3-for-5. Another player making a difference was Liam Stewart, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two RBI and one double.
Peyton was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .469. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Byers only posted a batting average of .259.
Meanwhile, Simla never let their opponents score on Thursday. Everything went their way against Elbert as they made off with an 11-0 victory. Winning may never get old, but the Cubs sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
The team relied heavily on Ethan Kissam, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-2. Logan Rayfield was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI and one stolen base.
Simla's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-2. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Peyton, their win bumped their record up to 9-1.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Saturday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Peyton has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 10 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Simla struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 10.1 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Everything went Peyton's way against Simla in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, as Peyton made off with an 18-1 victory. Do the Panthers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Cubs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
