Basketball Recap: Harmony School of Excellence-Austin Starts Season with Defeat on the Road

Harmony School Of Excellence-Austin had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They took a 52-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of the IDEA Kyle Knights. The Tigers just can't catch a break and have now endured 13 defeats in a row dating back to last season.

Despite the loss, Harmony School Of Excellence-Austin had strong showings from Noe Arias, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 17 rebounds, and Akanni Caesar, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds.

IDEA Kyle's win ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Harmony School Of Excellence-Austin and Wayside: Sci-Tech will compete for holiday cheer at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for IDEA Kyle, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on IDEA Montopolis at 6:45 p.m. on January 17, 2025.
