Basketball Recap: Rio Americano Comes Up Short

Rio Americano lost against Inderkum back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The matchup between the Rio Americano Raiders and the Inderkum Tigers didn't end well, with the Rio Americano Raiders falling 80-61. While losing is never fun, the Raiders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 191st, while the Tigers are ranked 12th).

Rio Americano's loss dropped their record down to 17-10. As for Inderkum, they pushed their record up to 25-1 with the victory, which was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Rio Americano will host Christian Brothers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Rio Americano knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Christian Brothers likes a good challenge. As for Inderkum, they will head out to challenge Ponderosa at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
