Baseball Recap: Piedmont Beats Alameda for Their Third Straight Victory

Piedmont waltzed into their matchup on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured an 8-7 W against the Alameda Hornets. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 5-1 on Wednesday.

The team relied heavily on Diego Delventhal, who went 3-for-5 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jonah Cha-Foster, who went 3-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.

Piedmont always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .514. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Piedmont's record now sits at 12-4. As for Alameda, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-9.
