Basketball Recap: Lakeside Comes Up Short

Lakeside lost against Roosevelt back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Lakeside Lions took a blow against the Roosevelt Roughriders, falling 66-29. The matchup marked the Lions' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Roosevelt was led to victory by Caden Young and Anthony Washington. Young posted 17 points, while Washington had 16 points. That's the most points Young has posted since back in December of 2023. Ryan Towne was another key player, putting up eight points.

Lakeside is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-3. As for Roosevelt, they moved to 2-3 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Lakeside didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 51-45 loss against Seattle Academy on the 20th. As for Roosevelt, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 70-68 defeat against Eastside Catholic on the 20th.
